A Converse morning tradition
Tucked into a small strip center on FM78, Salsa's Cafe has built a loyal following one breakfast taco at a time. Behind the bright storefront and black-and-white checkered floor is a family-run kitchen that presses its own tortillas by hand and keeps the comal going from the early morning rush straight through the lunch crowd.
Regulars know what to order: mini tacos stacked with asada and al pastor, charro beans on the side, barbacoa so tender it barely needs a fork, and enchiladas smothered in cheese and green sauce. Everything comes out fresh and fast, even when nearly every table is full.
